Danger Mouse’s Next Album Will Be A Blank CD-R
Written by Dan on May 17, 2009
OK, so I’m sure we all know I’m not exactly the first person to be particularly excited about Danger Mouse releasing a new album. But I read an article at Gizmodo that’s given me a new sense of respect for Mr. Brian Joseph Burton. It seems he is releasing his new album despite legal disputes with his record label… so to speak. He can’t release it, so what’s he do? Sell a blank CD-R for you to pirate the music and ideally burn it to said CD-R. And just to make sure you really get your money’s worth, you’ll get a book full of pictures inspired by the music taken by David Lynch. For those who are interested in checking out the new album, you can hear it streamed for free at NPR.
